Vow Renewal Ceremonies in New York City- "I Do" Part Two

There is no doubt that we are overjoyed when we marry two people and unite their families for the first time, but we also LOVE to perform Vow Renewals at Common Ground Ceremonies. Getting married carries the excitement of a brand new chapter in your lives, but when you renew your vows, you get to celebrate all the wonderful memories you have already created as a married couple and then recommit to creating even more.

Many couples choose to renew their vows for a special Anniversary like their 1st year (whew, we made it!), 5 year, 10 year, 20 year, 25 year and even 50 years. We have even met couples who renew their vows every year in a different city around the world (how awesome is that!). Did you elope or miss out on having your dream wedding due to personal or financial reasons? Well, Vow Renewals are ideal for the couple who originally chose to have a courthouse wedding but have been dreaming of having a wedding with their family and friends ever since.

So, what does a Vow Renewal Ceremony look like?

For those of you having your “real” wedding for the first time, we will create a ceremony that is no different than our customized wedding ceremonies. If you don’t want anyone to know that you already did the legal one, it will remain “our little secret” and you will be pronounced as a married couple as though it’s the first time.

For those of you celebrating a special anniversary or planning a New York City destination ceremony, we provide a service that caters to whatever your hearts may desire. New York City is one of the most romantic cities in the world and has been featured in many of our long-time favorite movies and TV shows. If you love the Christmas holidays, there is nothing more memorable than a ceremony in front of the famous Rockefeller Center Tree followed by a Broadway Show or tickets to see the famous Rockettes. Times Square, Empire State Building, and The Statue of Liberty are all great places that we have performed wedding and vow renewals. Check out this photo of a couple we recently re-married on The Brooklyn Bridge (they renew their vows in a different city every year)

Do you have children and want to include them in your ceremony? Vow Renewal ceremonies are a wonderful way to celebrate your marriage along with your children. Many of our ceremonies include the children by inviting them to read a poem or reading from a scripture if you are religious. Unity ceremonies like sand ceremonies or candle lighting are also a joyous way to unite you all as a family. There are countless ways and we will guide you every step of the way with our expertise and years of experience

Planning a surprise vow renewal? We will assist with all the details. Central Park is a great location for surprise vow renewals. We can set up and be waiting for you at the location of your choosing with your choice of a photographer, videographer, live musician and even a bottle of bubbly!! Scott planned a surprise 20-year Anniversary and “re-proposal” at Cherry Hill Fountain in Central Park and then we had the Vow Renewal ceremony at Wagner’s Cove. His wife and younger children arrived on a horse and carriage and Scott got down on his knee and asked her to marry him again. Of course she said YES!!

I set up a surprise vow renewal in Central Park for my wife and me for our 20th anniversary. I found Rev. Samora online and I could tell right away from communicating with her that she would be top notch! She did not disappoint! With short notice, she put together a lovely ceremony for us and more than delivered on everything I asked for. A true treat to have her perform our ceremony. She will forever be in our hearts!

Jillyan & George Scarpa

Good morning Reverend Samora
I would like to start by saying Thank you from the bottom of our Hearts! George & I had the big Italian Church wedding ceremony 25 years ago bells & whistles etc...~that being said.We wanted this leg of the journey to be intimate & filled with Love! From the moment we first contacted you, we knew you were the one to renew & celebrate our 25th Anniversary Wedding Vow Renewal. You were not only professional & personable~But we truly felt that you were a part of Our Family! You exceeded every expectation!!! What you did for my father in law ( finding him a ride & saying that you would even get your own car because you knew walking was too difficult for him) Our family is still speaking about your warmth & concern!!!
Your ceremony & the beauty of your words ( I am so happy I wanted to be surprised) I am usually one full of words & honestly Reverend Samora~ there are not words of Gratitude to capture the Love & Beauty you created in our ceremony!
Thank you Thank you Thank you~ I truly feel as though Sunday was a Dream come true for George & I & Our Daughters & Families!
We can't wait to see the photos & video & I will definitely stay in touch! With so much Love & Gratitude
